Aussie film and TV star Rachel Griffiths is headed to New Zealand's biggest film conference.
Rachel Griffiths has been announced at the feature focus at New Zealand's biggest film conference scheduled for next month.
The Australian actress has been added to a pedigree list of local and international filmmakers who will speak to an audience in excess of 400 at the Big Screen Symposium.
Griffiths burst onto the scene in 1994 with the seminal Muriel's Wedding. She then went on to star in productions like My Best Friend's Wedding, The Rookie, Blow and Hilary and Jackie.
She's also made a splash on the small screen in shows like Six Feet Under (which earned her a Golden Globe) and Brothers & Sisters (where she got an Emmy nod).
Griffiths will deliver the keynote address at the conference, which takes place on October 10 and 11.
Other notable guests attending this year include Jane Campion, producer Jon Landau who worked on Titanic and Avatar, indie filmmaker Sebastian Silva who directed Magic Magic and Crystal Fairy and the Magic Cactus, and Kiwi-born scriptwriter Anthony McCarten who penned The Theory of Everything.
